Micheal Jackson: The greatest entertainer

Michael Jackson

Who could have imagined during the rise of Michael Jackson’s stardom in the 80s, he would reach his final chapter at the age of 50 only weeks before his comeback tour in London. However, it would be as difficult to imagine an ageless performer like Michael Jackson settling into obscurity as an old man out of the spotless. Nevertheless, he will be missed by all. Even though he is no longer alive, his music and child-like persona will live on forever.

In recent years, Michael Jackson inspired talent like; Justin Timberlake, Usher, Omarion, Will.i.am, Neyo, the present pop genre, and an entire world— for many reasons some having nothing to do with music. Years of countless awards, scandals, debt, hit songs, stunning performances and humanitarian act made Michael Jackson into a true Celebrity. He had not toured since 1997 or released new songs since 2001, but still could draw attention in everything he did. His recent tour was sold out in a matter hours; a total of 50 shows in 51 days with each show suspected to earn Michael 5 million pounds (10 million dollars). He was just that good.

While everyone remember Michael Jackson being an iconic superstar for: “Beat It,” "Billie Jean," “Thriller”, the one glove, the Moonwalk, the signature red jacket, the Neverland Ranch, and breathtaking music videos, our company will remember him for our own reasons:

Being a force to be reckoned with- He inspired a movement of new music that could not be ignored by networks, like MTV who mostly played rock at the time. Michael Jackson was the first black artist to be aired on MTV. Today MTV plays; Rock, Hip-hop, Pop and recently had a several hour tribute honoring Micheal's music.

Whatever you do, strive to do it so well that no man living and no man dead, and no man yet to be born can do it any better. [And that is how Michael Jackson will be remembered].

-Dr. Benjamin E. Mays

Connecting people together from all backgrounds- Michael Jackson bridged the gap between age groups, races, religions and sexes to successfully change the way music is listened to, danced to and sang to.

His humanitarian acts- African Ambassadors' Spouses Association awarded the singer as their annual humanitarian; as he's reportedly given more than $50 million over the years to charity, including some that feed the hungry in Africa.

Moonwalker- Probably most of you out there didn’t know that Michael Jackson had a video game in the 90s and is most likely to have another one come out on Playstation 3. Well, this is an amazing feat. How many music artists do you know that have their own video game?

Oly Ray- Ok, this is more personal. Thanks to Michael Jackson, Oly Ray became famous for being the girl in the "Thriller" music video- we just happen to be related.

There is so much that inspires our company looking to the future. If only we have an ounce the success Michael Jackson had, we will be able to positively change people's lives in our own right.

I will not only remember Michael for his music and videos, but for his countless humanitarian efforts, half a billion dollars to charity anyone?! Seriously, this guy was a legend, and I can't speak badly of him in anyway. I will remember him for the message he brought, I will remember him fo the fact he gave more of himself than anyone was willing to give him in return. I will remember him for the way he brought people together and gave them hope, and for the person he was. I miss him so much, and if there is life after death I hope he has found the peace he sought after, and I sure hope he enjoys it.
    I love you Michael. R.I.P.

Based on the announcement from the World Music Awards, he not only sold over 750 million copies of his recordings, he gave away over $300 million dollars to charity. Not quite $500 million, but still in the ballpark.
  • What can I say the guy was truly the "King"
